Herbert Lapine, 78, founder and president of Rubee Furniture
Manufacturing Corp., died Friday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lapine, a furniture manufacturer for more than 30 years and a Near North Side resident, was a member of B`nai B`rith and the Carlton Club. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Janice Hoosin-Lautt and Joan Sherizen; two step-daughters, Cynthia Ruda and Marsha Lieberman; two sisters; two brothers; and a grandchild. Services will be at noon Monday in Piser Weinstein Menorah Chapels, 9200 Skokie Blvd., Skokie.
