I just finished reading Bernie Lincicome`s Dec. 30 ”In the Wake of the News.” My eyes are bulging and my mouth is still ajar.
Mr. Lincicome did nothing but belittle coach Mike Ditka. Do you know what the Bears would have without Ditka? Nothing. Zero. They wouldn`t win 11 or 12 games every year. They`d be a 6-10, 7-9 or 8-8 team.
Mr. Lincicome also says the Bears need to get an offensive and defensive line. The Bears are on top every year because they win the battle in the trenches. The Bears have an average quarterback, no receivers, no tight end, only one good running back. Why do they win every year? Because the Bears win the battles in the pits. Wake up, Bernie baby. Success has spoiled Chicago!
