Ruth Gradman, 75, of Chicago`s North Side, died Saturday in Weiss Memorial Hospital. She was a former music teacher at Fairview School-South in Skokie and a former member of the Skokie Valley, Northbrook and Lake Shore symphony orchestras. She received her music education and training at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. She taught violin and piano privately. Her late husband, Edward, was a violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for 40 years. Survivors include a daughter, Tanisse, a violinist with the Lyric Opera orchestra and the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra; a son, Sid; and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piser Weinstein Menorah Chapel, 5206 N. Broadway.
