Ford Motor Co. finally annouced that it will be building right-side-drive cars for export to Japan (and Britain) in 1993. It is about time. For two decades, American automakers have been complaining that the Japanese won`t buy their cars. No wonder. It doesn`t take an Einstein to figure out that if you put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car, sales will be slow. Are American automakers always that stupid?
