Theoren Fleury`s power-play goal with 7:09 remaining in the third period gave the Flames the victory. Fleury took a pass from Al MacInnis and beat goalie Jeff Hackett with a 15-foot slap shot from the right circle for the Flames` third power-play goal.
The Sharks thought they had scored a goal earlier in the final period on a backhander by Kelly Kisio, but referee Rob Shick ruled the puck didn`t cross the goal line.
