Dom Geraci, 68, who played trumpet in the ”Bozo`s Circus” band on WGN-TV for more than 20 years, died Wednesday in Scottsdale, Ariz. Mr. Geraci, whose show business name was Don Jeris, was a former resident of the Edgebrook neighborhood. He was a staff musician for NBC-TV in Chicago from 1948 to 1958. He played on the ”Bozo`s Circus” band from 1962 to 1982, according to his wife, Louise. He also led his own band, the Don Jeris Orchestra, until 1985. After leaving ”Bozo`s Circus,” he was a record turner on WGN radio`s ”Roy Leonard Show” for five years until retiring. In addition to his wife, Mr. Geraci is survived by three daughters, Julie, Louise and Maria; three sons, James, Dominic and Carl; and two grandchildren. Services were held Friday.
