Belle Bernstein, 91, an active and ardent Zionist and honorary president of the American Technion Society, died at Highland Park Hospital on Friday. A resident of Chicago, she and her late husband, Samuel, traveled extensively and visited Israel several times. She was a past president of Temple Beth Israel Sisterhood. The Samuel M. and Belle Bernstein building at the American Technion University in Israel was named in their honor. She is survived by two daughters, Sharlane Coleman and Iris Wachs; a son, George; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Shalom Memorial Park, Palatine.
