In regard to the letter ”Electric jolts” on Jan. 13: As a degreed mathematician, I can assure everyone that a rate increase from 0.04627 to 0.07093 is 0.02466. This is a 53.3 percent increase, not a 153.3 percent increase. This does not mean I support the hike, but please be more careful when computing in public.
