I congratulate Chancellor Gerald Turner on the revision of the NCAA academic requirement. A 2.5 grade point is not unreasonable to require, especially for students who will have to balance a full athletic schedule with an academic one.
With the enforcement delayed until August 1995, high school students have plenty of time to set their priorities.
