The announcement Monday by U.S. Rep. Harris Fawell (R-Ill.) that he was introducing a comprehensive congressional reform act was dubbed ”a clear campaign ploy” by challenger Stuart Wesbury of Oak Brook.

Fawell`s proposal to reduce the operating and mailing budgets of congressmen and to open up committee assignments to a greater number of representatives ”is a day late and dollar short,` Wesbury said.

”My solution for congressional reform starts with term limitation,” he said.
