Would the Tribune please add a clarification to your comments on the new George Bush budget? Your front-page story of Jan. 30 states: ”His $1.52 trillion spending blueprint for fiscal 1993 had a conservative, hold-the-line flavor.” What`s conservative and who`s holding the line when deficit spending is at $399 billion a year?

Your editorial then adds ”. . . at least he`s not doing any major damage.” Great balls of fire, when does the ”major damage” begin? On second thought, don`t tell me!
