I take exception to some terminology you use with regularity in articles regarding the abortion debate and the Supreme Court`s Roe v. Wade decision in particular.

Contrary to your statements, the Supreme Court did not ”legalize”

abortion in that decision: the Supreme Court simply articulated a right that already existed within the right to privacy granted by the Constitution

(another right that the Supreme Court recognized, but did not create).

The courts of this country-including the Supreme Court-did not

”legalize” or ”criminalize” anything. They interpret laws that other branches of government put into effect. At least that was what I was taught in law school and in high school government class.
