Robert J. Coyne, 68, retired senior vice president of the Zurich Insurance Group, died Wednesday in Rush North Shore Medical Center, Skokie. Mr. Coyne, a resident of Glenview, worked in the insurance industry for 32 years before retiring in 1989. Mr. Coyne, a World War II veteran and a graduate of Carroll University, was active after his retirement in the Executive Services Corps of Chicago. Mr. Coyne also served in various capacities on the Chicago Crime Commission and the United Way Crusade of Mercy. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son, Timothy; and three grandchildren. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview.
