Bensenville`s Cable Television Department has earned two awards in the 1991 Chicagoland Cable Awards. Gerry Higgins, producer for the department, was recognized for producing the 1st- and 2nd-place programs in the category of government access.
The 1st-place program was ”The Emergence of Street Gangs in the Suburbs: The Bensenville Experience” and the 2nd-place program was ”Environmental Update,” an edition of the weekly talk show ”Frontline: Bensenville.”
