William E. Funcheon Jr., 55, of Monticello, Ind., the assistant regional administrator of technical support in the Chicago office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, died Sunday in Newport News, Va. Mr. Funcheon, a native of Lafayette, Ind., graduated from Purdue University in 1958. He worked for the U.S. Department of Labor for 31 years before moving to OSHA. Mr. Funcheon was a past president of the Lions Club of Portage, Ind. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two sons, William and Kevin; his mother, Mary; a brother; and a sister. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, 202 S. Illinois St., Monticello. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Lakes, 543 S. Main St., Monticello.
