– An article in Section 1 on Feb. 19 about NAACP leadership changes erroneously reported that Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was about to leave for dinner at Benjamin Hooks` home when he was assassinated. King had dinner on April 3, 1968, the night before his death, at the home of Hooks, the current NAACP executive director. On the day he was killed, King was preparing to leave for dinner at the home of Rev. Billy Kyles.

– A Page One article in the Feb. 19 Evening Update edition misspelled the trade name of the asthma drug Proventil as Preventil.
