Cross-country skiing: Nancy Fiddler of Crowley Lake, Calif., came in 29th in the 30K. Elizabeth Youngman of Newbury, Ohio, was 43rd. Dorcas Wonsavage of Park City, Utah, was 45th. Brenda White of Williston, Vt., was 49th.
Bobsled: The USA I team is ninth after two of four heats in four-man sledding. The USA II team is 14th. Finals are Saturday.
Hockey: Team USA lost to the Unified Team 5-2. It will play Saturday for the bronze.
Curling: The U.S. team lost to Norway 8-3.
Figure skating: Americans Kristi Yamaguchi and Nancy Kerrigan were 1-2 going into the finals later Friday.
