Wilbert ”Bill” Toohey, 79, a retired detective for the Chicago Police Department, died Wednesday at Willows Nursing Home in Valparaiso, Ind. He joined the force in 1943 and retired in 1975. There are no immediate survivors. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 2929 W. 87th St., Evergreen Park. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the home.
