In reference to ”Czechoslovaks turn capitalists as government returns property” (Feb. 17): Before these factories were nationalized in 1948 and became state-owned, they were privately held by Czechs. These owners or their children are living.
After having consulted with a prominent Czech lawyer, we were informed that the present laws give us no right to anything. No compensation of any kind, not even a few shares in one`s own manufacturing company. What privatization does is simply steal the stolen property once again.
