President Bush recently claimed that his and former-President Reagan`s administrations have increased the world`s respect for this country. No way!

Have the nearly 50,000 murders committed during the past two years brought more respect for the U.S.? How about the enormous drug addiction problem that exists here? Is the U.S. the envy of the world because of the tens of millions of unnecessary abortions done during recent years?

Did President Bush`s recent spectacular visit to Japan increase respect for the U.S.? Do Japan, South Korea and Taiwan respect the U.S. more for having forced them to open their markets to U.S. cigarettes? Really, now!

Do compassionate people all over the world more highly respect the U.S. now for preventing the Iraqi children from having the food and medicine that they desperately need? No, we are thought of by the decent people of the world as the ”Ugly Americans” with a feeling of disgust!

The U.S. administration will be believable when it says: ”Believe me, I never tell the truth!”
