In the Feb. 20 Voice of the people, Al Schairbaum states that because 82 percent of Prodigy computer service users favor some form of legal abortion,

”the right-to-lifers, including President Bush, are way out of step with the public.”

In order to subscribe to Prodigy, it is necessary to own a personal computer. A poll taken of personal computer owners does not have a broad enough statistical pool to represent ”the public.” Such a poll has a statis- tical pool of citizens who are wealthy enough to own personal computers. Perhaps citizens who have similar lifestyles might also have similar beliefs.
