Jerome J. Burrows, 72, who had been a Chicago police officer for 37 years, died Saturday in Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago. Mr. Burrows, a lifelong Chicago resident, retired in 1982. He served four years in the Korean War and was active in a number of Chicago police organizations. Mr. Burrows is survived by his wife, Helen; a stepdaughter, Rosa Passi; two sisters; two brothers; and two grandsons. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Salerno`s Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave. Services will be held there at 9 a.m. Thursday.
