I am appalled by the amount of graffiti that is all over our wonderful city. Somehow our society is tolerant of this activity. Something must be done! As chairman of Earth Day, I suggest that community service be a mandated sentence to anyone caught defacing public or private property.
A first offense should be 60 days of cleaning up graffiti under legal supervision. A second offense should be six months of such service. We must focus on this problem now!
