The last thing in the world Metra cared about on the day of the flood was money.

As soon as the crisis occurred, they immediately switched to a ”load and go” schedule, bringing in trains quicker than imaginable. The crowded aisles made it impossible for conductors to collect fares, but that seemed to be the least of Metra`s worries. They were ostensibly concerned about providing their customers with the best service available-getting them out of the Loop and home as quickly and safely as possible.

”Thank you” to this extremely well-run organization, which clearly cares more about service than money. No wonder they are so profitable.
