– Harlan 7, Simeon 6-Harlan (23-5, 11-0 in the Public Southwest) rallied past No. 6 Simeon behind Keith Conley (3 for 3, two RBIs), Anthony Taylor and Ronnell Harmon (two hits, one RBI each) and Telly Mott (2 2/3 innings of two- hit, five strikeout relief pitching.

– Glenbrook South 4, Maine South 0-Dean Henderson scattered five hits and Alex Sicner was 3 for 3 with one RBI as Glenbrook South (8-13, 7-6) stunned Maine South (12-9, 10-3) in the Central Suburban South.
– Hyde Park 11, Bowen 1-Tim Shannon (five-inning one-hitter, nine strikeouts) and Isaac Hayes (two-run homer) paced Hyde Park (11-3, 7-2) in the Public Southeast.

erupted for seven runs on eight hits in the seventh inning in the Central Suburban North. Chris Selejan was 2 for 2 with two RBIs for North.
– Oak Park 9, Downers Grove North 3-Mike Amrhein (3 for 4, two triples, home run) led a 12-hit attack in support of Joe Lazewski`s five-hitter for Oak Park (18-9, 10-7 in the West Suburban Silver. Downers dropped to 21-8, 12-4.
– Proviso West 5, York 1-Brian Wardell scattered four hits and fanned seven and Mark Hausfeld and Ed Levandowski had two hits and one RBI apiece for Proviso West (16-10, 9-7 in the West Suburban Silver).
– Waubonsie Valley 5, Elgin 4-Oswaldo Quintanilla and Ted Kubek both went 2 for 3 and Kenny Folkers struck out 11 to get the win for Waubonsie (18-7, 15-6 in the Upstate Eight).
– Zion-Benton 8, North Chicago 0-Tom Anselm (6-1) hurled the three-hit shutout and A. J. Walkanoff and Danny Pell (two RBIs) had two hits apiece for Zion-Benton (16-7, 10-4 in the North Suburban).
– Downers South 8, Morton 2-Brian Meyers hurled a two-hitter and Darrell Laczynski drove in three runs with two doubles to lift Downers Grove South

– Morris 12, Oswego 2-Joy Battersby fired a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and drove in three runs with two hits and Kari Anderson had three RBIs as No. 6 Morris (22-3, 15-1) clinched its sixth straight Little Seven title.
– Elgin 4, West Aurora 0-No. 7 Elgin (22-0, 19-0) rolled in the Upstate Eight behind pitcher Jennifer Parks and Jamie Skerski and Jennifer Kiefer (two hits apiece).
– Downers Grove South 24, Proviso East 0-No. 10 Downers Grove South (14-5, 9-0) remained unbeaten in the West Suburban Gold behind pitcher Amy Elza`s perfect game (nine striketouts) and double, home run and five RBIs. Erin Enzbigilis also had five RBIs.
– Lake Forest 3, Warren 2-Pitcher Kelly Beckwith (15-4) was 4 for 4 at the plate, Julie Arvia drove in the winning run in the eighth inning and Jenny Anderson had three hits and scored twice for Lake Forest (16-4, 10-4 in the North Suburban).
– Mundelein 11, Antioch 3-Pam Wiesner (13-4) tossed a four-hitter, Stacy Beese had two hits and sthree RBIs and Terilyn Starkey had two hits and two RBIs as Mundelein (18-5, 11-1) took a three-game lead in the North Suburban.
– Zion-Benton 13, North Chicago 3-Martha Liebert had two hits and three RBIs for Zion-Benton (12-8, 10-4 in the North suburban).
– Willowbrook 7, Addison Trail 3-Melissa Erickson was 3 for 4 with four RBIs for Willowbrook (12-6, 7-3 in the West Suburban Gold).
– IMSA 9, Batavia 5-Joy Peters struck out 11 and was 3 for 4 with five RBIs for IMSA (11-6).

– Palatine Tournament-Rockford Boylan (10-3-2) edged No. 3 Naperville North
(14-2-1) 1-0 and host Palatine routed Stevenson 8-2 in first-round matches.
– Hinsdale Central 3, York 1-Suzanne Payne, Danielle Fink and Jena Fischer each scored a goal to lift Hinsdale Central (9-3-2, 5-0-1 in the West Suburban Conference).
