If the big hand is on the John Hancock building and the little hand is on the Water Tower, what time is it?

Ten after 7, MKT time. That`s short for My Kind of Town time.

The My Kind of Town watch, designed by Chicago graphics artist Anthony Ma, features computer-generated renderings of famous Chicago buildings and sculptures instead of traditional time-keeping symbols.

But some of the drawings, 1/8-inch in size, may challenge your imagination or knowledge of Windy City landmarks. One person thought the Hancock was a Texas oil rig. Alexander Calder`s Flamingo sculpture, a scorpion.

So if you`re up for a good challenge as you watch the minutes tick away, plop down $175 for a My Kind of Town watch with a black leather band and $195 for a pigskin band. They`ll be available in June at Chiasso stores, 303 W. Madison St. and 700 N. Michigan Ave.

In June and July, $10 from the sale of each watch will be donated to the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois.
