– Bremen 6, Hillcrest 3-Jim Corbett had a double and a home run while driving in three runs and he also was the winning pitcher as Bremen (19-12, 9-1)
prevailed in the SICA Central.
– Evanston 7, Maine East 5-Andrew Denlow had a pair of home runs for Evanston. – Fenwick 10, Prosser 2-Mike Buchman had two hits and three RBIs and Aaron Nieckula added two doubles and two RBIs for Fenwick (16-12) in a nonconference game.
– Highland Park 9, Deerfield 3-Steve Palecek drilled a three-run home run and Josh Barnett added a two-run clout for Highland Park (16-12, 9-7) in the Central Suburban North.
– Homewood-Flossmoor 11, Thornton 0-Chris Busse fanned eight and allowed only a bunt single over five innings as Homewood-Flossmoor (20-7, 9-3) blanked Thornton.
– Libertyville 10, North Chicago 1-Zac Adams and Matt Beitzel hit back to back home runs to power Libertyville (24-9, 12-4) in the North Suburban conference battle.
– Lockport 8, Bolingbrook 0-No. 5 Lockport (26-4, 10-2) clinched at least a tie for the SICA West title behind Anthony Shelby`s no-hitter. Shelby struck out 16 but walked seven. Ricky Moss and Derrick Kopacz each had three hits and Moss knocked in three runs.
– Maine South 5, New Trier 2-Sean Collins and Carl Flener each had two hits and Flener added two RBIs to pace Maine South in the Central Suburban South.
– Niles West 3, Maine West 2-Tony Epperson allowed two unearned runs while tossing a no-hitter for Niles West. Epperson walked three and struck out 11.
– Oak Park 8, Leyden 1-Rob Bruce clubbed a three-run home run to lead Oak Park (22-9).
– Providence 8, IMSA 1-Chris Kamin fanned nine and allowed three hits for Providence (23-6). Jason Hafner had three hits and two RBIs.
– Proviso West 6, Downers North 1-Alvie Shepard tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts, and Ed Levandowski added two hits and a home run for Proviso West (19-11, 11-8) in the West Suburban Silver.
– Rich Central 9, Bradley 7-Rich Central (17-9, 7-3) clinched a tie for the SICA South title behind Chris Peterson (3 for 4, home run, two RBIs) and Kevin Gill (3 for 5, RBI).
– Thornwood 7, Thornridge 1-Jason Huisman had two hits and three RBIs and Wally Widelski scattered five hits to earn the win for Thornwood (27-4, 12-0) in the SICA East.
– Zion-Benton 15, Antioch 1-Rich Johansen had two hits and drove in four runs to power Zion-Benton (19-8, 12-4) in North Suburban action.
– Westmont Class A regional-Corey Castor drove in three runs and Paul Powers scattered eight hits as Chicago Christian (18-8) got past Lemont 5-2 . . . Mike Izzo had a two-run triple and struck out eight to lead Evergreen park (18-14) past St. Martin de Porres 5-1 . . . Westmont advanced with a 10-2 win over St. Francis. Jim Musial (9-0) allowed four hits and struck out five to earn the win. Adam Dregan had two hits and three RBIs . . . Mike DeJong`s home run in the bottom of the eighth gave Illiana Christian (16-7) a 1-0 win over Lisle. Todd Dykstra went the distance, allowing six hits, for Illiana.

– Lockport 11, Bolingbrook 0-Amber Podlesny (14-3, three hitter, 14 strikeouts) had two hits and two RBIs and Tami Schuman and Jenni Sankey each had a solo home run as No. 5 Lockport (25-3, 12-0) completed its third straight unbeaten season in the SICA West.
– Mundelein 7, Fenton 1-Pam Wiesner (16-4) struck out 11 and contributed a run-scoring triple for Mundelein (23-5, 15-1 in the North Suburban).
– Thornton Fractional South 14, Tinley Park 4-Winning pitcher Erica Von Behren had three hits and six RBIs for T. F. South (19-8, 10-0 in the SICA Central). – Joliet West 11, Romeoville 4-Heather Green was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Joliet West (17-11, 8-4 in the SICA West).
– Rich Central 17, Bradley 5-Sandy Branham (3 for 3, two RBIs) and Stacey Whitaker (two hits, three RBIs) led Rich Central (17-7, 9-1 in the SICA South).

– Mother McAuley 8, Trinity 0-Becky Mrozek (4-0) tossed a no-hitter with eight strikeouts for Mother McAuley (21-8).
SOCCER
– GCAC Tournament-Katie Fitzpatrick and Heather Humphries tallied goals to lead Mother McAuley over Regina in semifinal action. The Mighty Macs will face Carmel at 5 p.m. Friday in the GCAC title game. Carmel had beaten Mother Guerin 4-0 earlier Thursday to advance to the finals.
– Maine South 4, Waukegan 0-Katie Pavlik scored two goals and goaltender Holly Francis recored her 12th shutout for No. 7 Maine South (17-2-1, 11-0 in the Central Suburban).
– Evanston 4, Glenbrook North 0-Molly O`Connor, Betsy Lane, Kristin Griffin and Susie Carlson each had a goal and goaltender Heather Shaffer had 12 saves en route to her 15th shutout for No. 10 Evanston (12-4-5, 9-2 in the Central Suburban).
