A Kuwaiti woman is working with two lawyers in a bid to overturn a law preventing women from voting. ”The constitution says I have the right to vote,” says Luluua Al-Mulla, an agent in her family`s real estate firm.

”It`s the election law that says only men can vote.” Al-Mulla and a dozen other Kuwaiti women were prohibited in March from registering to vote in October`s parliamentary elections. The case is not likely to reach the courts before the October vote.
