The Ms. Foundation and author Gloria Steinem are organizing ”Take Our Daughters to Work Day” next spring to show girls age 9 to 15 that career options are not limited. Under the program designed by consultant Nell Merlino in New York, individuals, schools and companies will sponsor visits. ”We want girls to be treated on this day as if they are going to one day replace the person they are visiting,” says Merlino. ”Our goal is to make girls visible, valuable and heard.”
