TTX Co., the Chicago-based company that rents freight cars to railroads, has acquired an additional 1,365 double-stack wells, 1,400 intermodal platforms and 10 heavy-duty flatcars this year. TTX President R.C. Burton Jr. cited ”the continued growth in container shipments and interest in moving boxes in double-stack equipment” for the move.
