Egypt`s first lady, Suzanne Mubarak, has launched the second annual summertime ”Reading for All” festival in a bid to reduce an illiteracy rate estimated as high as 75 percent. The campaign again includes puppet shows designed to attract youngsters to libraries, but it is expanding from cities to rural areas with plans to build libraries in 4,000 Egyptian villages.
