The booklet has toll-free numbers for airlines, cruise lines, hotel and motel chains and discount travel services as well as tourist information offices.

DISABLED TRAVEL A trip to Alaska designed especially for travelers with physical limitations, including anyone confined to a wheelchair, is available from Sundial Special Vacations.

The Aug. 23-Sept. 5 trip begins and ends in Anchorage. Excursions include trips to Columbia Glacier, Mt. McKinley and Denali National Park as well as visits to Fairbanks and Valdez.

LONDON CULTURE London`s major theater area-the West End and its three dozen or so theaters-may be known to most visitors, but what about cultural life elsewhere in the city?

A WINE CRUISE For aficionados of German wine, here`s an ultimate way to sample the wines of the country: a cruise down the Rhine and Moselle Rivers while sampling vintages of the Moselle, Rheingau and other regions.

The floating German wine seminar, lectures and tastings included, is aboard the 184-passenger Italia and is scheduled for Oct. 17-24.

The wine program is under the direction of Dr. Hans Ambrosi, co-founder of the German Wine Academy.
