President Bush is probably satisfied with his special envoy`s report on the American and allies` POWs inside the Soviet Union. Malcolm Toon`s report was that there were no POWs there.
I cannot understand how Toon`s whirlwind weeklong search could uncover anything in such a short time, let alone prisoners of war. The president cannot afford any surprises so close to election.
