Charles A. Gekler, 64, a retired bank examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., died Friday in West Suburban Hospital Medical Center, Oak Park. Mr. Gekler, who lived in Oak Park, was also an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Gekler retired in 1987. He is survived by his mother; a brother; and a sister. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Postlewait Village Chapel, 523 Lake St., Oak Park.
