James J. Tortorelli, 88, a retired physical education teacher and coach in Chicago public schools, died Sunday in Resurrection Medical Center. He taught for 41 years, most of those at Tuley High School, now called Clemente. Mr. Tortorelli was a longtime resident of the Northwest Side. He retired from Tuley in 1969. Survivors include his wife, Anna; a son, James Jr.; and a grandson. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kolbus Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Rd. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Monica`s Catholic Church, 5135 N. Mont Clare Ave.
