Ester J. Carlson, 82, a retired Chicago public school teacher, died Tuesday in Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, Melrose Park. Miss Carlson taught 3rd grade in Chicago elementary schools for 35 years. She retired in 1972 from Berry Elementary School. She is survived by a sister. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Nelson Funeral Home, 5149-51 N. Ashland Ave. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fourth Congregational Church, 2625 N. Talman Ave.
