A northwest Indiana physician was found guilty Friday of raping a 31-year-old Chicago Heights woman during an examination in his office three years ago.
A Crown Point, Ind., jury returned the verdict against Dr. Young Soo Koo, 51, after deliberating over two days.
Koo, of Schererville, Ind., faces a maximum prison term of 20 years when he is sentenced Aug. 25 by Superior Court Judge Pro Tem T. Edward Page. Koo, who practiced in Hammond and previously had an office in Calumet City, was ordered held without bond until the sentencing.
