”The end of Eden for the black rhinos” stated most eloquently the plight of Africa`s most endangered species (Editorial, July 13). As you said, no one has been effective at stopping poachers; the only hope for the rhino is moving them to protected sanctuaries.
Earlier this year, after seeing the beauty of Africa and learning about the savage killing of rhinos for their horns, we founded the Black Rhino Rescue Fund. Its mission is to inform the public of the beauty and tragedy of the black rhino and to move them into protected areas. Editorials like yours do more than a small organization like ours could to educate the public. If any readers are interested in helping preserve this magnificent animal, they may contact us for information.
