James H. McDonnell, 63, vice president and Midwest regional manager of Cumberland Carpet Mills, died Friday in his Naperville home. Mr. McDonnell spent 36 years with Carson Pirie Scott Wholesale Floor Covering Inc., retiring in 1988 as vice president for contract marketing and sales. A Chicago native, he spent his career in Des Moines and in Naperville. Mr. McDonnell is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, James P. and Robert W.; five daughters, Margaret Ann Brown, Kathleen M. LePera, Susan J. Hammond, Mary C. and Christine P. McDonnell; his mother, Bernice McDonnell; and eight

grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 26 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
