A greeting card you wear? Well, why not? After all, the `60s gave us paper dresses.

Entrepreneurs Nancy Bierk and Jeanne Graham have designed a greeting card that doubles as footwear. ”People are spending so much money on cardboard cards that get thrown away, why not a buy a greeting card for under $5 that doubles as a gift?” says Graham, vice president of the St. Louis-based firm, dubbed appropriately Greet Feet Inc.

Messages-birthday and general greetings-are printed on thin foam rubber. By pulling up on a pre-cut tab and folding a flap over, the card becomes a shower slipper/beach thong.

Sold with their own mailing envelopes, they`re available at A Little Something, 1824 Glenview Rd., Glenview, or by calling 800-486-1900.

These may not put Hallmark out of business (or revolutionize the shoe industry), but at $4.99 they`re a great gift for moms to stick in a survival kit for their favorite collegiate.
