A Long Island, N.Y., firm is peddling ”sex maniac” trading card sets featuring Mike Tyson, Elvis Presley, Catherine the Great and others, described as ”the most twisted and bizarre sex offenders ever.”
”Sick” is what local legislators call the effort, which, according to Nassau, N.Y., officials, violates a new county law.
The 27-card sets, which sell for $9.99 at some local comic book shops, are the product of First Amendment Publishing Inc., a Deer Park, N.Y., operation headed by brothers Paul and Joe Mauro.
Paul Mauro says Presley, who lived with the chaperoned 15-year-old Priscilla, is featured on a ”rock `n` roll cradle-robbers card” that includes Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bill Wyman. Mauro says he has joined in a legal action by the New York Civil Liberties Union, which seeks to overturn the Nassau law.
