Roy T. Nielsen, 82, a retired Chicago Transit Authority bus driver and former operator of the Gages Lake Inn, died Sunday at home in Wildwood. Born in Chicago, he lived in Wildwood for the last 35 years. He was a member of Waukegan Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 706, a member of Amalgamated Transit Union Division 241, and a former member of the Wildwood Auxiliary Police Unit. He is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Steichen; a son, Roy R.; three stepsons, Paul Raeck, Francis Raeck, and Raymond Raeck; a sister; and 10 granchildren. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel.
