– 1975-Davey Lopes of the Los Angeles Dodgers stole his record 32nd base in a row without being caught in a 2-0 victory over the New York Mets, breaking Max Carey`s 1922 record. Lopes stole six more times before being caught.
– 1976-John Candelaria became the first Pirates pitcher since Nick Maddox pitched in 1907-69 years-to throw a no-hitter at home, hurling Pittsburgh to a 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Three Rivers Stadium.
