Pro-abortion Republicans are gearing up to try to change the anti-abortion plank in their party`s platform. ”We`re not asking the President to back off from his opinions, but we want the platform to accommodate our views,” said Ann Stone, head of the 100,000-member Republicans for Choice. Stone has not specified what action her group will take if the anti-abortion plank remains intact, but she has said ”we will not be quiet” in Houston.
