John R. Zavacki, 45, died of cancer Thursday in Iowa Methodist Center in Des Moines. Originally from Chicago, Mr. Zavacki did computer work for Sears, Roebuck and Co. downtown before being transferred to Oskaloosa, Iowa, in 1975. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; three sons Mark, Matt and Michael; his parents Raymond and Catherine; and six sisters. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary`s Catholic Church in Oskaloosa.
