The plan commission will recommend that the Village Board allow the residents of Rambling Hills West subdivision to extend Lake Albert, which is in the subdivision, and rebuild the lake`s dam.
The dam has eroded over the years and no longer functions properly, causing drainage problems, officials say. Residents want to extend the lake 1 1/2 acres and move the dam to a more efficient location.
The project was started and aborted several years ago, and a gravel pit now exists in the area where the lake expansion is proposed.
