Werner Stokell, 79, died Saturday at the Regency Nursing Home in Niles after a long illness. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Mr. Stokell was a retired district superintendent of the Chicago Transit Authority. He is survived by a son Thomas, four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave.
