A security guard at a grocery store on the east side of Aurora was arrested Sunday night and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly threatening a man in the store`s parking lot with a loaded .38-caliber pistol, police said. Waldemar Merty, 46, of 843 N. Highland Ave., was released from Kane County Jail on Monday pending an Oct. 14 appearance in court. According to police, Merty pointed the gun at the head of a man in the parking lot of Donino`s, 30 N. Root St., when the man refused to leave after Merty told him to do so.
