I looked up the word ”liberal” in the dictionary and found it defined as ”generous,” ”bountiful” and ”munificent.”
These terms hardly seem derogatory to me. In fact they can be applied very accurately to Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy, three of the greatest presidents of this country.
A Republican candidate who refers to his Democratic opponent as
”liberal” should really be thanked for the compliment.
