Jehovah`s Witnesses this week received approval from the Village Board to continue to deliver their message door to door.
Village trustees gave tentative permission this week to let the Libertyville Congregation of the Jehovah`s Witnesses solicit in Mundelein until June 30, 1993. Their permit to solicit in town ran out last June 30.
Village Clerk Colleen Casting said there have been no complaints registered with the village since three residents called about a year ago and said they disagreed with the philosophy of the group.
The congregation`s members canvassed over 80 percent of the village last year, but they do not approach homes if the residents ask the group not to or if the homes have signs banning soliciting, said Sam Guagliardo, a member of the group.
